The course does not give LAPP Authority. We only touch on minor general appraisal basics because VA issues the appraisal if the lender is not LAPP approved. VA must do the training for all underwriters to become SARS, or they can grant permission on a case by case basis for an experienced SAR on the lender's staff, if the lender already has LAPP authority, to train new SARS.
The course is roughly 8 hours of VA underwriting training that we have done for large and small lenders around the country live, live webinar and an online version is being launched in a format the lenders can host on their own learning management system.
